The “touristy” photo of Máxima Zorreguieta in New York that revolutionized the networks

Officially, Máxima Zorreguieta has landed in the Big Apple . As planned, this week the Queen Consort of the Netherlands returned to New York, where she lived during the second half of the nineties, just before beginning her relationship with the heir to the crown. On this new occasion, she did so in her role as Special Advocate of the Secretary General of the United Nations for Financial Health (UNSGSA). But although she is a regular at the place, that did not prevent her from taking a photo in “tourist mode” at one of the highest points of the city .
After fulfilling a series of commitments in Washington DC , on Monday, February 24, Zorreguieta began his activities in New York which, according to the Orange-Nassau house , include talks on how to improve financial health - his area of specialization - and a meeting with the Secretary General of the United Nations António Guterres, among other things.
Although the queen's schedule was carefully designed, that did not prevent her from visiting some tourist spots in the city in between. Patrick van Katwijk , the official photographer of the Dutch royalty, published a postcard on his social networks that delighted the followers of the crown. In it, Máxima could be seen posing with a smile at Edge , one of the most popular observatories in New York, located in the Hudson Yards neighborhood.
This is a viewing platform located on the 100th floor of the building , at 345 meters high, which offers a spectacular view of the city and in recent years has become one of the favorite destinations for tourists visiting New York. Although the monarch was there for work reasons , she did not hesitate to take a more personal postcard as a souvenir.
True to her style, the Argentine-born queen did not go unnoticed with the look she wore for her first day of activities in New York . Following her philosophy, as one of the main promoters of circular fashion, she opted for a recycled green outfit .
She wore a green short-sleeved T-shirt with a matching jacket over her shoulders by Natan Couture, her favourite brand. The centrepiece of the outfit was her pleated high-waisted midi skirt, made from a gradient fabric : the top part was in a light brown shade, the middle part in emerald green and the bottom part in petrol green.
She paired the outfit with brown thigh-high boots, a green clutch and gold and silver olive earrings from Spanish jewellery firm Luz Camino. She left her hair down and opted for natural, subtle make-up.
This is the second time that Queen Máxima has worn this look The first was a month ago, on 23 November, when she was in the city of 's-Hertogenbosch, in the province of North Brabant, to visit the Join Us Foundation, which in October last year received the Orange Apples Award (Appeltjes van Oranje), a distinction awarded by the Orange Fund every year.
Obviously, green is currently Zorreguieta's favorite color to put together her outfits . Last week, during her stay in Washington DC, she showed off with a Total green look -also recycled- by Natan Couture. She wore a turtleneck sweater, a wool coat tied at the waist and a high-waisted flared skirt made of leather that reached below the knees. She paired it with a green leather bag with gold details from the same brand and a pair of suede stilettos from Gianvito Rossi, her favorite shoe brand.
